It’s been quite a first season for Ushuaïa Ibiza’s Friday night DYSTōPIA concept.
From 1 June, each Friday found itself stacked with superstar DJs playing to adoring crowds at one of Ibiza’s preeminent venues. Across the summer, DYSTōPIA saw the likes of Luciano, Adam Port, Be Svendsen, Damian Lazarus, DJ Koze, Jennifer Cardini, Oceanvs Orientalis, Theo Kottis, Moscoman, Perel, Rebolledo, Red Axes, Satori, Trikk, and many more each embraced the immersive experience with a like-minded attitude of music, art, and self-expression.
Tomorrow, though, it all comes to a close for 2018 as DYSTōPIA welcomes Luciano, Bedouin, Special Guests: Tale of Us, Raul Rodriguez, and Miss Melera to close things down the way they started…on a grand scale. With that event in sight, we look back at the inaugural DYSTōPIA in words and pictures.
“The Difference Dystopia is making from all the other venues and parties I’ve played is, from far, all the creativity you find in this bizarre universe that Ushuaia has conceived, with so many different areas. All this together with the people, dancers and the music, create a really special atmosphere, very unique. I enjoy playing early sets on open air stages, it is just a perfect time for me, you see the faces of people. This is a way I enjoy clubbing and partying, in a healthier way and going with the flow each time…” – Luciano
“The concept, the performer, the decoration and also the line-up. It’s a quite unusual line up for Ibiza and I’m glad that it works.” – Adam Port
“In my opinion Dystopia has one of the most original content and concept on island. Good music with a meaningful substructure is not so often in the party world.” – Oceanvs Orientalis
“I really appreciated their attention to detail, it meant the atmosphere was so lifting! The Dystopia team were able to create such a unique vibe with the impressive sound system, dancers and engaged crowd. I was made feel welcome the minute I arrived. Also, they killed it with their branding, love it!” – Theo Kottis
“I had a fantastic time playing Dystopia. I Loved the team, they did a great work in giving this impressive venue more of an intimate club feel. People were open and responsive! Wish them all the best for next season”. – Jennifer Cardini
