{"id":30982,"date":"2016-05-09T16:00:27","date_gmt":"2016-05-09T14:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.deephouseamsterdam.com\/ibiza\/?p=30982"},"modified":"2016-05-09T16:00:27","modified_gmt":"2016-05-09T14:00:27","slug":"so-space-ibiza-wont-be-a-shopping-centre-after-all","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deephouseamsterdam.com\/ibiza\/so-space-ibiza-wont-be-a-shopping-centre-after-all\/","title":{"rendered":"So, Space Ibiza Won&#8217;t Be A Shopping Centre After All"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Owners and operators of Ibiza mega venue Ushua\u00efa have taken over Space Ibiza, putting much of the famed club&#8217;s future up in the air.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So much so that, perhaps its primary resident, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.deephouseamsterdam.com\/ibiza\/first-names-announced-for-final-carl-cox-music-is-revolution-season\/\">Carl Cox<\/a><\/strong> has declared this to be his last season at the venue, as the Palladium Hotel Group (PHG) looks to compliment the Ushua\u00efa with Space&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cObviously we want to keep it as a disco, but also want to dedicate it to the audience in which we are now focusing, which will be complementary to Ushua\u00efa,\u201d<\/em> PHD CEO Abel Matutes Prats told Diario de Ibiza.<\/p>\n<p>Though this may still be somewhat distressing to the crowd who doesn&#8217;t frequent Ushua\u00efa and its EDM allegiances, it still comes as better news that what many thought would be Space&#8217; fate: a shopping centre.
