DHL Mix #116 By Cristoph
Having carved out a sound increasingly identifiable, Cristoph avoids dance music’s relentless march toward the new next thing by focusing on groove, mood and his typically intricate, hypnotic arrangements.
This Newcastle born producer has taken welcome strides through labels such as Noir, Suara and Knee Deep In Sound to become one of the most reliable yet exciting acts in the scene. Recently, the inaugural edition of conceptual album series “8-track” bears the Cristoph name and is meant to confuse those still stuck in a world where house music and techno are separated by propped-up dividers but it will indeed only serve to showcase his strength as a producer.
So, with that, let’s welcome Cristoph to our mix series with an hour’s worth of fired up dance music.
“8-track Vol. 1” is now available on Knee Deep in Sound
