It would be a challenge not to have a huge grin plastered over your face whilst listening to this shoulder swinging mix from Golf Clap.
Be it blasting on a boat party, echoing in oval space or blaring out of you wireless ear pods, this mixtape is the perfect addition to your Wednesday. Golf Clap is comprised of Detroit duo Hugh Cleal and Bryan Jones. The pair are notorious for their house enthusiasm and underground knowledge.
Whether it’s their strong drive to be the last ones standing, or their sheer determination to make others have a good time, the two are achieving something unique when they deliver such consistently funky sets. Exhibiting a seamless set is one element to attain within the club scene, but achieving an undeniably fun stage presence is another, and one that infuses the dynamic so much more. The two make it their mission to ensure this is achieved.
The mix itself begins with soulful 90’s house tones and soon progresses to an experimental melody whilst maintaining their Detroit roots. Towards the middle, the mix darkens slightly whilst retaining an up-beat housey echo throughout. All in all the production assimilates to an Ibizan summer, delivering a sense of Sankey‘s nostalgia.
The two are in high demand and have delivered releases on labels such as 294 Records and Simma Black. Golf Clap premiered their newest track with Skapes last month on Defined Music, and sample the track in their mix.
