London-based artist Henri Bergmann has had a huge 2023 and ended it with a fantastic label showcase of her own last Friday on December 8th. Playing next to Henri were Hardt Antoine, Paride Saraceni, Cenkk and a special live vocal appearance from Wennink at 25 Kingsland Road.

Her Automatik recently released a huge new vital various artist’s collection featuring 14 new and club ready cuts, five of which were from fresh UK artists and the rest from all over the world. Most recently the boss herself stepped out with a new remix of English singer-songwriter Birdy’s ‘Paradise Calling’ on Warner Music that once again showed the diversity of her sound.

The crowd that gathered for this one were here for superb melodic and progressive house and techno sounds and that’s what they got. Every beat was fresh and forward thinking and the dancers assembled in force. They were a cool mix of serious music heads who danced from the first to the last beat as Hardt Antoine dropped his compelling beats, Paride Saraceni locks the crowd into all new melodic realms and Cenkk showed the class that has made them such a firm favourite of this label.

The highlight was of course Bergmann’s own set which found her serving up a great mix of label sounds old and new, plenty of which were her own. She had the crowd eating out of the palm of her hand and the standout moment for many was Wennink singing live to his and Henri’s “Here’s The Fear” track that was just recently out on Afterlife. It is another masterful cut from this new school tastemaker.

This first label party was a great way to end the year for Bergmann’s AUTOMATIK with much more to come for sure!!
