Lost Records positions itself firmly at the forefront of the future of dance music.
With one foot knowingly planted in the rich heritage of techno, house and garage yet managing to keep two eyes on the horizon of incoming soundscapes, founders Leftwing & Kody aim not to recycle old sounds, but branch out into the new and unknown. Showcasing the finest underground House and Techno from established and breakthrough artists. Now, With the likes of Darius Syrossian, Hector Couto, Waifs & Strays and MANIK, the Lost Records roster is ever impressive.

“…we wanted to sign what we thought was good music from our friends and those that had supported our music as artists that may of got lost in the barrage”
What does Lost Records add to the dance music spectrum?
It adds what we think is good quality music that we would play on the floors, that’s been the ethos from the start.
When did you first think about launching Lost Records
Having a record label was always something we had discussed since we began working together
When did Lost Records actually launch?
The planning for Lost Records began at the end of 2012 that’s when we first started discussing names and looking into artwork design etc. It was officially launched on the 19th of August 2013 with an EP from Darius Syrossian
Story behind the Lost Records name?
The story behind the name was that we wanted to sign what we thought was good music from our friends and those that had supported our music as artists that may of got lost in the barrage of music that is released digitally on a daily basis.
What was the most difficult aspect of launching the label?
Timing was the difficult part for many reasons. We were pressing vinyl and the turnaround time kept changing. Also working with different sets of people that are all integral to the process but have their own schedules like artwork designers and mastering engineers etc but it was a good learning curve for us and we have been able to get on top of these issues over the years
Describe 3 seminal moments in Lost Records existence?
The summer compilation we released in July getting to number 1 on Beatport was a real moment of pride for us.
Also hearing a lot of Lost Records releases in Ibiza at various clubs this year also gave us a real sense of achievement.
Kicking off the showcases has also been a great moment in Lost Records history they have been going from strength to strength and looking forward to more in 2016.
