Describe WOW! Records album artwork?
At the beginning it was very techy, black and white with the reference name in colour, every release was the same except the colour of the text. After release 25 we started doing a different cover for every release and the idea was to make a “wow” reaction on the buyer. Nuclear bombs, Car accident, Very fat guy, etc…. it was fun! After release 55 we changed back to something more simple being very similar from one release to another but trying to have a more electronic art inspiration.
Best WOW! Records showcase?
Every year at Sonar OFF in Barcelona we have amazing showcases but in 2012 we did a free stage at East Ender festival which ended been amazing, more than 2000 people dancing outside next to the beach going crazy with our DJs.
Worst WOW! Records showcase?
We try to be safe, we don’t really do that many so we haven’t really have a bad one, maybe last year at ADE was just OK, not so good but not so bad.
Dream WOW! Records artist?
We are trying to have a Loco Dice remix on board and a Pan-Pot release but still waiting 🙂
Most important business/music app/program/software?
For me it has to be Beatport, we do nearly all our sales there which is not very cool but it is what it is for the moment.
Longest Day(s) ever worked?
We work 24/7! We can’t stop, we have only four people running this project.
Upcoming projects?
We have releases from Hector Couto, Subb-An, German Brigante, Emanuel Satie, Hector, Latmun and many more!! It’s our 10th Anniversary so we have to push!
