After making a bold debut last summer, Joseph Capriati’s Metamorfosi party is back for another mini-season at Amnesia this summer. It got off to a fine start on Friday July 21st with Joseph Capriati, Sven Väth, Frank Storm, Indira Paganotto and Andres Campo plus more all playing what was a highly anticipated night.

As soon as you enter the vast Amnesia venue you’re wowed by its size. There is special production for this night with branded logos and plenty of mesmeric lights and lasers. The floor is packed full of Italian fans but also lots of other international names. It’s an unreal place to be – a club like no other with great attention to detail to the audio-visuals which leaves you in awe.

On the Terraza we’re soon swept up by Frank Storm laying down his compelling tech and slick grooves. The drops come thick and fast and the synths sweep us up. After that the one and only tech icon that is Sven Väth sets up with a big and colourful selection full of both classic and curveballs. It’s a great roller coaster then big man himself Joseph steps up. He is an artist in constant evolution and plays across a broad spectrum of house, techno, and plenty in between. He gets the biggest reactions, as you would expect, and plays with a real smile on his face.

Meanwhile we dip in and out of the Main Room throughout the night. It is just as intense musically with great atmospheres and sets from the mini-resident Indira Paganotto who is as hot as they come right now with her searing techno sounds. Andres Campo, Sara Landry and Skizzo also play and complete a diverse line up that offers something for all.

This was a great start to the season – a proper underground night with all the things you need – great DJs, a crowd who are up for it, and spellbinding production. Charlotte de Witte, Dubfire, Paul Kalkbrenner, and Sven Väth, friends like Jamie Jones, Luigi Madonna, Markantonio, Seth Troxler, and Enrico Sangiuliano, and many more are all set to come so make sure you check out this most essential underground offering.
