Luis Leon is a producer and DJ from Peru, South America. He’s the creator of bangers such as: “Love Is A Lie” on Double Tree Records as well as an unofficial but much loved edit of “This Charming Man” by The Smiths.
He is always working on new edits to inject his DJ sets with a unique flavour and musical personality. His edit of Maverick Sabre’s “I Need” has achieved nearly 3 million plays and still gets a lot of love from fellow artists. Some other remixes has been released successfully in the last year with his unique touch such as “Beating Stronger” by Atapy on Cimelde Records and “Like A Drug” by Alex Barck feat. Last year was a great one for Luis, with a European tour with gigs at All We Want Festival in Germany, Chicago Social Club in Amsterdam and Heineken’s Sandbox Festival in Egypt, to just name a few. In January 2014 he played at the Boiler Room Tulum during the BPM Festival along with famous artists like Miguel Puente, Louie Fresco, DJ Tennis and Art Department in the same line up. And not to forget that he has signed with Sony ATV in June 2014.
Luis has been in the studio a lot lately, working on some new releases for 2015. With each release he had more and more support comes in from a wide range of artists such as: Tiësto, Thugfucker, Finnebassen, Manik, NTFO, H.O.S.H and Phonique.
2015 will be a year where Luis is sure to prove his musicality more. For now he spends a lot of time in the studio, touring gigging through South-America and running his own label Blankhaus.
