An electronic pioneer in every sense of the word, Darren Emerson has been one of the scene’s most influential figures for over 20 years.
Solidly consistent productions, inspiring DJ performances and an unquenchable thirst for the new and interesting has led Darren to collaborating with artists like Sasha, Depeche Mode, Bjork and The Chemical Brothers, while also being a seminal early member of Underworld, and having well received mixes on the likes of Global Underground, Cream, and (his own) Underwater.
Now, Darren Emerson joins Carl Cox and Jon Rundell‘s Intec imprint with the “Deadlock” EP. Here, we exclusively premiere the EP’s title track, which centres around the bubbling acid of a Roland TB-303 to provide the tracks driving force. Fast flowing hi-hats and clap rhythms provide extra momentum, whilst a rising vocal pad adds some subtle euphoria. Packed with atmosphere, this dancefloor focused track is peak time Techno at its best.
“Deadlock” is available 28 April on Intec Records
