On the 6th of August the beautiful island of Pelion, Greece will play home to the very first electronic music festival, hosted by one of London’s most exciting and long term underground raves, Rhythmatics.
Rhythmatics first began as a project hosted by two curators, Kiri and Kostas Poulos. The two twin brothers have left a firm foot print on the London music scene, hosting Rhythmatics for 9 years, and watching their fairly new project ‘Vinyl Club’ blossom.
The Open Air Festival aims to bring cutting edge artists to Pelion for two days of partying on the picturesque island, with artists providing the very best in house and techno, from labels such as Objektivity Records, Dirtybird and Herzblut Recordings. Rhythmatics events intentionally pursue a drive towards achieving versatility and steers away from following the obvious trends, making their parties unique amongst others.
Headlining day one of the festival will be New York house icon Dennis Ferrer. The Producer and mixer classes his career as a ‘right place at the right time’ affair. As the US music scene moved onto a wider spectrum of genres and sub-genres of house, the musically talented Ferrer found a small slot to slide into and watch his career grow. Heading up his home grown label Objektivity, Ferrer chooses distinctive vocal sounds, that create memorable tracks as he aims to take an ‘anything goes’ approach to the label.
Taking you on a musical journey until 5am on the Greek Island, you will also find: Alex Dimou Live, Junior Pappa, Chrissy Hope, Livesless & Alberto Solina, Scot Dech / It’sraw & Unickue, Dapeace (DJ Competition Winner).
