Last year’s biggest and best new electronic festival was undoubtedly We Are FSTVL, in fact it was such a success that it even picked up Best New Festival at the annual UK Festival Awards in January. This year they’re back with an even bigger event, which brings together a mind blowing array of artists from commercial acts like Fatboy Slim (who has his own stage) to techno giants like Carl Craig and Sven Vath. To get you in the mood we have this exclusive podcast from Tube & Berger, who appear on the We Are WHSE stage on the Sunday.

In case you don’t know, Tube & Berger are Arndt Roerig and Marko Vidovic, a German duo who first hit the big time with their track Straight Ahead, which featured the vocals of Chrissie Hynde – one of our favourite singers from the eighties! Released in 2004 Straight Ahead jumped into America’s Billboard dance charts and thrust Arndt and Marko into the limelight. Ten years on and their still staying true to their ethos of producing electronic music with an organic, live feel.

In tandem with the evolution of their career, the duo have also set up a label called Kittball Records which has played host to some awesome releases, including tracks from Basti Grub, Jay Lumen, KANT, Aki Bergen and many more. They appear on the We Are WHSE alongside Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Laura Jones, Ellen Allien, Miss Kittin, dOP and Steve Lawler.

Elsewhere at the festival you’ll be able to indulge your every electronic music desire with a veritable smorgasboard of artists on offer. Commercial acts include Thomas Gold, Eddie Halliwell and Chuckie, the more underground stuff comes courtesy of Raresh, Dana Ruh, Ricardo Villalobos, Matador Richie Hawtin and many many more. The line-up is absolutely ridiculous actually, if you can’t find something you like then there’s something wrong with you!
