Last month Sankeys made headlines by revealing their plans for turning Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse into ‘Sankeys Warehouse’. The date for the launch party was already\u00a0set (October 17), and now so is the line-up, including a couple of names that will cause a frenzy among UK dance-heads: Armand van Helden and Basement Jaxx.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The line-up showcases a history of DJs that have played at Sankeys over the last two decades, comprising a mixture of dance music legends alongside a vast array of acclaimed artists\u00a0anno 2015.\u00a0The launch party which is\u00a0set\u00a0to take on epic proportions if we are to believe Sankeys will be hosted by three leading British nights, which all have weekly residencies at Sankeys Ibiza.<\/p>\n

The Redlight<\/em>, now wrapping up its\u00a0debut\u00a0season at\u00a0Sankeys Ibiza, will be taking over Room One of the landmark Manchester venue. Room Two will be hosted by Sankeys’ trusted Tribal Sessions<\/strong>, showcasing its \u2018forward thinking music without prejudice policy\u2019 and Room Three will see one of London\u2019s hottest parties Magna Carta<\/em> looking after the proceedings in a more tech-house way.<\/p>\n

Armand van Helden is regarded as one of the pioneer\u2019s of the Speed Garage sound with tracks like \u2018Professional Widow\u2019 and classic anthems like \u2018You Don\u2019t Know Me\u2019 has resulted in him being one of the most popular producers from the 90\u2019s to the present day. Joining Armand and Jaxx in The Redlight room will be Sam Divine and Sam Holt (one half of Defected production duo Copyright).<\/p>\n

The Tribal Sessions Room will feature the likes of Noir, Robert Dietz, D\u2019Julz<\/em>, together with Tribal Sessions Godfather Greg Vickers<\/em> and prodigal son Jozef K<\/em> will play back to back while Manu Gonzalez completes the lineup bringing his Balearic tech house sound to the party.<\/p>\n

The Magna Carta Room welcomes East End Dubs, know for his influential sound focusing on drums and rolling baselines. Also on the bill is Igluu<\/em>, the Magna Carta residents are firm favourites at Sankeys Ibiza. Ramon Tapia<\/em> joins the bill, one of the freshest tech-house DJs around. Next up is London duo No Artificial Colours<\/em> known for their distinct style. Last but not least we have Max Chapman<\/em> who features on Pete Tong\u2019s prolific BBC 1 Radio Show.<\/p>\n

After such a smash opener, we’re keen to see how Sankeys Warehouse will try to keep this level of programming going in the event following afterwards.<\/p>\n
