The last artist to play the embattled London venue fabric was Hotflush’ Scuba, who will now mix the 90th edition of the venues eponymous mix series.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With all proceeds going towards the #savefabric fundraising campaign<\/a>, 21 October sees the release date of this latest edition in one of dance music’s most celebrated mix series. On the mix, Scuba says:<\/p>\n

“fabric has been a really important venue for me as a clubber and also as a DJ. The mix was put together over the course of a couple of weeks in my studio in London. At this point, I don’t think the method is really important to how a DJ mix is constructed: if it sounds good then that’s all that matters. There’s a variety of old stuff, recent releases and brand new music, and also a mix of established producers all the way through to people that no-one will have heard of because they’ve never released anything.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On the mix, Scuba’s ability to select, sequence and stitch a whopping 42 tracks over 75 minutes is remarkable, featuring artists like Pearson Sound<\/strong> and Patrick Cowley<\/strong>, Donato Dozzy<\/strong> and Midland<\/strong> all in the way of a dark, seductive atmosphere.<\/p>\n
