Capped at just 450 people, this time they took their loyal crowd to a hearty woodland in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. A few last-minute complications let to a location change and the team were under pressure to build the site up from scratch in half the time they had anticipated, which was no easy task.<\/p>\n<p>The line-up was distinctly underground \u2013 the likes of Dark Sky showcasing their new live show headlined, while <strong>Andrew Ashong, Medlar, Throwing Snow, Rayko, The Reflex, Watson from FYI Chris,<\/strong> a DJ set from <strong>Afriqoui<\/strong> and Brighton outfit <strong>Normanton Street<\/strong> also played. There were burlesque and cabaret dancers and a live music tent hosted by a charity called <strong>BeeJive<\/strong>, which aimed to raise money and awareness for the UK\u2019s bees. Deep South Music &#038; Arts Festival offered a hedonistic retreat from the real world, taking over a leafy woodland next to a lake an hour from London.<\/p>\n<p>The crowd were friendly and welcoming, the music was exceptional, and even being unlucky with the weather didn\u2019t dampen people\u2019s spirits, although the crowd did seem to thin out slightly on the Sunday. Those that were left partied that little bit harder just to make up for it! Special mention must go to the d\u00e9cor team as \u2018party trails\u2019 of lights and furnishings, dripped down from the trees; exotic installations and fun activities awaited with a bit of exploration and extra attention to the little details made all the difference.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>South London party starters, SUMBIT teamed up with Brighton music heads Disco Deviance to put on what was to be an extension of their biggest party to date.
