BNR<\/strong>\u00a0kicks off 2023 by making good on a past promise.\u00a0\u201cLove & Validation,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0BOYS NOIZE<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0KELSEY LU\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0sex-paced industrial ballad, never received an uptempo club treatment \u2013 until now. The\u00a0\u201cLove & Validation Remixes\u201d EP<\/strong>\u00a0offers three new flavors of elevated atmosphere, syrupy vocals, and body-tuned rhythms from\u00a0ELAX<\/strong>,\u00a0MARCEL DETTMANN<\/strong>, and the elusive\u00a0JACKSON<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The recording of\u00a0\u201cLove & Validation\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0was an international affair, written and recorded in LA where\u00a0Lu\u00a0is based.\u00a0The remix EP, however, begins with a double dose of Berlin courtesy of\u00a0MARCEL DETTMANN<\/strong>, a central figure in the city\u2019s\u00a0Berghain\u00a0era.\u00a0\u00a0DETTMANN<\/strong>\u00a0keeps the vocals and atmospheric refrain intact but surgically implants a thumping techno backbone so loosely quantized it\u2019s almost tribal. The new rhythm and arrangement are transformative as if a track meant for (ahem) horizontal listening suddenly stood up vertically, taking it from the bedroom to the big room.<\/p>\n
