BUY \/ STREAM: BOOGEYDOWN VOL. 1 HERE<\/a><\/p>\n Underground agenda-setting label Boogeyman<\/b> is back with a new EP series. \u2018Boogeydown Vol. 1\u2019<\/b> kicks off with a trio of killer remixes by label founder Jesse Calosso<\/b> who reworks tunes by The Mekanism, Tommy Vercetti<\/b> and Kellie Allen<\/b>.<\/p>\n Up first is Calosso<\/b>‘s remix of The Mekanism<\/b>‘s \u2018What Is It\u2019 feat. Jadhe<\/b>. It’s a tight, vibrant mix of minimal drum funk and slick percussion with a ghetto vocal edge and plenty of swagger. Then the Miami mainstay turns his hand to Tommy Vercetti<\/b>‘s ‘Where You Wanna Be’<\/b> feat Owen William<\/b>. He lays down chunky drums with deft chords that bring the soul. The drums are deep and the vocal is aloof and intimate for late night feels.
