Summer is upon us, as the last couple of weeks have proven. Ok, so it’s raining and windy again at the moment, but the sunshine we had just recently is sure to repeat itself in just a month or so, hopefully sooner. Anyway, with that in mind, we thought we’d ask the dynamic duo known as PBR Streetgang to select their top 10 summer jams, so we can enjoy the sunshine with a superb soundtrack and they’ve come up trumps big time with their list…

Tom’s Picks

1. Hatchback – White Diamond

This is a nine-minute slice of Balearic bliss. It still gives me major goosebumps every time I listen to it!

[youtube id=”zzOny-VHg7A” width=”620″ height=”360″]

2. Crosby, Stills & Nash – Dark Star

Simply Oooooffff!!!! Need I say anymore?

[youtube id=”uF0d740Lb2A” width=”620″ height=”360″]

3. Osunlade – Morning Glory

Taken from one of my favourite albums, this is a serious gem of a summer track.

[youtube id=”6dGY72LJRhs” width=”620″ height=”360″]

4. Nuyorican Soul – I Am The Black Gold Of The Sun

When you’re searching for that summer moment, this record will make it all happen!

[youtube id=”aYBT90PFmoM” width=”620″ height=”360″]

5. Bill Withers – Use Me

We all love Bill. This record captures and sums up the summer feeling for me!

[youtube id=”1ROGOHNSEBs” width=”620″ height=”360″]

Bonar’s Picks

6. Sun Palace – Rude Movements

This is such a warm summer track, it even has ‘sun’ in the title for Pete’s sake! I couldn’t think of anything better than floating in a pool and listening to this.

[youtube id=”it2oL9VAWvo” width=”620″ height=”360″]

7. Earl Flint – People Hold on

For me it’s a slice of Garden Festival memories – great times had to this. One of our favourite festivals we’ve ever played at, and we will be sad to see it go at the end of this July!

[youtube id=”mhdyTyF2zCo” width=”620″ height=”360″]

8. Soldiers Of Twilight – Believe (PBR Streetgang Remix)

Ok ok yeah it’s a bit of shameless self-promotion but this was a very special remix for us for many reasons and will always remind us of summer.

[youtube id=”QVqztnGV3TY” width=”620″ height=”360″]

9. Alena – Learn to Get By (Ron Basejam Remix)

How everyone has slept on this I’ll never understand, but hey at least it’s not overplayed. This basically out-Moodymanns Moodymann. Yup that’s right, that’s what I said! It sounds like a sultry summer storm losing it’s grip half way through and the sun bursting through for a blissful moment.

[youtube id=”zvNDtLsXHrE” width=”620″ height=”360″]

10. DJ Kaos – Love The Night Away (Tidye Remix)

Almost the epitome of a summer record. Sunshine practically flows out if it!
