Celebrate the club that changed everything in this official book, told through evocative photographs and eye-witness accounts of the people who were there – from the musicians, DJs and fashion designers, to performers, clubbers and staff.<\/p>\n

Since the opening night on 21st May 1982 until it closed its doors in 1997, the Ha\u00e7ienda was the last word in music, fashion and world-beating club culture. A cathedral of the alternative, it played a formative part in the careers of many artists, and was a focal point of the dance music and acid house scenes. Its spirit lives on in the shape of globally loved Ha\u00e7ienda events, which continue to bring joy to veteran and new clubbers alike.<\/p>\n

With contributions from Peter Hook, John Cooper Clarke, Bez, Noel Gallagher, Rowetta, Mani, Irvine Welsh, Andrew O’Hagan, Mike Pickering, Todd Terry<\/strong> and Roger Sanchez<\/strong> – as well as Ha\u00e7ienda staff, club-goers and many more.<\/p>\n

The Manchester launch, in which the proceeds will be heading towards charity will be something a little bit different as FAC51 The Ha\u00e7ienda<\/strong> takes over the historic New Century Hall<\/strong> for a special book launch that promises to be anything but ordinary. This unique event will celebrate the vibrant story of The Ha\u00e7ienda with an engaging roundtable discussion featuring key figures from the iconic venue\u2019s history..<\/p>\n

Join us \u2018In Conversation\u2019 as we dive into the stories and memories that defined a generation. The panel will be hosted by the journalist Paul Flynn<\/strong> and will feature renowned figures from the Ha\u00e7ienda alumni, including Peter Hook<\/strong>, resident DJs Graeme Park<\/strong> and Greg Wilson<\/strong>, general manager Ang Matthews<\/strong> and Flesh promoter Paul Cons<\/strong>. Also joining the discussion, we have fashion designer Ian Griffiths<\/strong>, Manchester\u2019s alt-cabaret legend \u2018The Divine\u2019 David Hoyle<\/strong>. Angela Murray<\/strong> of the legendary fetish label ‘Murray & Vern<\/strong>\u2019 and bona fide music legends Noel Gallagher<\/strong> and Mani from the Stone Roses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This promises to be a thought-provoking debate on the enduring influence of The Ha\u00e7ienda and its cultural significance.<\/p>\n

Following the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase copies of the book and have them signed by select panel members as well as the book\u2019s curator, Rebecca Hook<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

DJ\u2019s on the night who will be performing are Peter Hook, Graeme Park, Jon Dasilva, Hewan Clarke, Guy Williams with rare Dj appearances from Lady Bump & Michelle Kelly plus special guests and performers that will showcase the fashion and flair of those golden years.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Proceeds from the event will be donated between three very important charities: AKT (formerly known as the Albert Kennedy Trust), Mind, and Sarcoma.<\/strong><\/p>\n
