On the banks of the River Thames, in the capital of Brexit (unwillingly), today’s underground dance music hero comes to rescue the city’s nightlife with a helluva New Year’s Day party.
2016 is definitely Maceo’s year. This year the main man of Ellum has had several successful projects, including his performance at the ADE under the Rijksmuseum passage, or breaking the world record with 10 sets in 24 hours. But the most consistent one of all was his Mosaic party series in Ibiza, that brought a fresh take to the island’s dance scene, thus no suprirse that in the face of London’s nightlife facing turbulent future, Maceo Plex brings Mosaic to UK’s capital.
Avant Garde, a former London’s train depot will host the party of Mosaic – headlined by Maceo Plex himself, and joined by a plethora of talent – Modeselektor, DJ Tennis, Axel Bowman and Eagles and Butterflies. Located on a walking distance to the River Thames, the party will feature up to 2000 limited capacity in three rooms in the customary Mosaic production.
As for the lineup…Maceo is joined by a plethora of talent, starting with the enigmatic Modeselektor, the hugely diverse and talented Monkeytown Records duo, that just finished a storming tour together with Apparat under their common Moderat moniker. Alongside them, the co-founder of transcendent label Life & Death, Dj Tennis, making his Bankside Vaults debut, as does Sweden’s Axel Boman, the owner of today’s one of more forward thinking imprint Studio Barnhus. After the releases on Innervisions and back-to-backs with pretty much everyone, Eagles & Butterflies is back to London after a long break joined by the upcoming Innervisions talent Denis Horvat, who completes the lineup.
London’s nightlife may be under siege, but we continue to party in the face of adversity.
