Cinnaman has been an integral part of the Amsterdam nightlife for a few years now. Being part of the infamous Rush Hour Record Store crew, he is also one of the most talented and diverse DJs to emerge from Holland. Apart from his DJing, Cinnaman is also known for his popular Amsterdam club night Colors, which started out in Club 11 and is now hosted in its successor Club Trouw. In the studio he has been keeping busy as well, with releases on Rush Hour, Audio Culture and Hypnotic Room.
You can’t really define Cinnaman’s style. It’s somewhere between the spectrum of House, Garage, UK Funky and Detroit Techno. If it sounds good and if it’s a bit out of the ordinary, there’s a good chance that Cinnaman has a taste for it. One thing that’s for sure is that his sets are very high-energy, giving his crowds few moments to stand around. Letting a crowd dance is of course the objective of any DJ, but in the case of Cinnaman, you really don’t have any other choice.
