Todays mix comes from Italian trio Agents Of Time, some of the most mysterious newcomers of the past few years within the electronic sphere of house and techno.
The project started back in 2013 when Andrea Di Ceglie, Fedele Ladisa and Luigi Tutolo decided to work as a collective. Not even a year later, in May 2014, they released their first album on British label, Stem Records, which was was soon followed by landmark EP ‘Polina’ on Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant label. This year they’re still keen on sending a strong message and demonstration of what they’re capable of. So far they started the year with a remix for WhoMadeWho’s ’Traces’, released on their ‚Emperor EP‘ in May and the single ‚Lotus Flower‘ on Correspondant’s compilation, which we featured in the Top 10 Releases of June.
The Italien trio shouldn’t be put in a sub-genre. Within their music you can find elements from various musical genres, which is, as they say, because each of them has their own musical background which leads to the constant evolving sound of Agents Of Time. Their live performance is characterised by the use of analog instruments. Their unique performances and their meticulous care for detail, in addition to their mysterious aura with the long black robes, brought them around the world to more than 20 different countries, mostly playing live, once even with an orchestra, in just a single year.
