Daniel Goldstein, best known by his stage name Lane 8, is an American-born musician, electronic music producer, and DJ based in Leipzig, Germany. The 27-year old producer is providing an exclusive mix for us here on DHA.
Influenced by Pete Rock and DJ Premier, it was his touch with pulsing electronica grooves and woozy glitch-pop that put him on the radar of Anjunadeep A&R executive Jody Wisternoff. In 2013, he signed to Anjunadeep, where he released his debut album ‘Rise‘ in the summer of 2015. He’s gone on releasing music on labels such as Anjunadeep, French Express and Suara.
He recently announced the launch of his new event/label This Never Happened, in which the concept aims to isolate the disruption of technology from the club experience. Functioning as a platform ‘for the listener’, the first show will take place in San Francisco, June 3rd at Mezzanine. His newest release ‘Fingerprint‘ marks as the face-paint for the label’s openly growing identity.
