Premiere: Die Wilde Jagd – Geisterfahrer (Original Mix)
With early support coming from the likes of The Black Madonna, Michael Mayer, Ivan Smagghe, and Sandrino, Raunachte huntsmen Die Wilde Jagd return to Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant.
The Die Wilds Jagd soundscape is marked by repetitive guitar loops, electronic percussion, drums and synthesizers. Using numerous analog keyboards and recording devices, combined with a diverse range of percussion instruments, the duo creates “hunting music”, which at times sounds unsettling, like swampland or a dark forest, but also urgent and pressing, like incandescent lasers or a hypnotic dance.
Today’s exclusive premiere is Die Wilde Jagd’s ‘Geisterfahrer’ (aka ghost driver) is all about anticipation. As soon as those introductory cymbals splash and the sinewy synth bass texture starts to loop there’s an overwhelming sense of drama and suspense that pays off with every detailed ingredient.
“Geisterfahrer” is available 20 January on Correspondant
