In the days leading up to last weekend, the stacked festival landscape saw itself somewhat worried with heavy rains in the forecast. Rain is something that seemingly comes with the territory here in Amsterdam, where only the heaviest of downpours can cancel the show (see July’s Welcome to the Future). All Artists & Stages Announced For Pleinvrees Heroes Festival

After selling out their debut edition last year, Pleinvrees Heroes returns to the Amsterdam sporting green space Riekerhaven on Saturday, September 5th. The second edition promises a new musical endeavour filled with old heroes and new ones, spanning six unique stages, each with its own musical curation. The LIVE stage will exclusively hold live performances, from acts such as N’to, Worakls, Oliver Schories, Einmusik. Festival Report: Buiten Westen 2015

Last Saturday saw Buiten Westen Festival hosting its fourth edition at Westerpark, a stone’s throw away from the Amsterdam city centre. The sold-out event covered six stages where visitors could enjoy a well-curated selection of DJs in house, techno and disco – some of the biggest names brought to the table were Fritz Kalkbrenner, Kerri Chandler, Delano Smith, Aeroplane, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Claptone, Culoe de Song, Max Cooper, Lil Louis and Italojohnson.
