Last week we took a guess on which tracks would make it big in Ibiza this summer. Now Shazam has come out with the preliminary results of the ‘Most Shazamed Tracks in Ibiza’ after the first month of Ibiza 2014. It looks like we even had a couple of them right, next to some surprises that we hadn’t expected at first thought. So here’s the list (the * after a track means we guessed it correctly, following our predicted spot):
10. Patrick Topping ‘Forget’ * [#6]
One of the hottest new additions to the Hot Creations stable dropped a track in April that may be his biggest yet. This has Ibiza ringing to it from beginning to end. We thought it be a bit higher, but making the list is an achievement in itself.

9. GusGus ‘Crossfade’ (Maceo Plex Remix) * [#3]
Another epic hit from the man who keeps taking his interpretation of house music to unprecedented levels. This one is sweeping Ibiza as well as the rest of the world.

8. Vario Volinski ‘Falling In Love’

7. Josh Butler ‘Got A Feeling’ (Bontan Remix, Pleasurekraft Edit)
Just because it’s more than a year old now, doesn’t mean that this tune isn’t kicking ass on the dance floor anymore.

6. Emeli Sandé ‘Read All About It’ (Stefan Biniak Bootleg)
Stefan Biniak has turned Emeli Sandé’s original around into a more downtempo piece, while still incorporating the characteristic piano chords.

5. Agoria ‘Scala’
‘Scala’ is that type of tune that carries musical perfection, especially when timed strategically in a set. When hasn’t it completely lifted you up near the end of a club night or festival, raising your energy level one last time for a final peak.

4. Tapesh & Dayne S ‘How I Do’
Tapesh and Dayne S have proven to be a golden combo many times, and with ‘How I Do’ it isn’t any different. Their rolling and groove-infused track that masterfully samples Marvin Gaye’s ‘I Heard It Through The Grapevine’ has all the ingredients for an Ibiza hit for sure.

3. Wankelmut & Emma Louise ‘My Head Is A Jungle’ (MK Remix)
MK’s edit of Wankelmut & Emma Louise is another testament that those old-school piano stabs still work like a charm when a studio master like him is performing them.

2. Oliver $ & Jimi Jules ‘Pushing On’ * [#2]
When we heard ‘Pushing On’ in the office for the first time we knew that Oliver $ and Jimi Jules had struck gold. That’s why we predicted it to be in the list, at no. 2 to be precise.

1. Ten Walls ‘Walking with Elephants’ [#1]
The rise to success of Ten Walls is incredible to say the least, perhaps even unprecedented. Literally everything he has dropped since his Gotham EP has climbed to the top of the charts within a fraction of time and has been able to stay there for weeks if not months. Just like Walking With Elephants, which is still firmly holding its place in the Deep House Chart after two months. And it being #1 in this list, proves that DJs still haven’t got enough of it.
