Great stuff from UK-based producer Jamie Trench and friends on this 6-track EP on SinnMusik. The title track starts off on a typical house vibe and then opens up into something much more intricate, with a disco-funk bassline wrapping itself around some arresting drum inflections and jazzy vocal cuts. Remix duties come from Baldo, Hidden Spheres, Bara Bröst, and Dutchies Freddie Glitch & Fewture, whose soulful retake take you back to the oldschool in classic deep house.

It’s something of a pleasant surprise to see French veteran Ludovic Llorca popping up on the second volume of House of Disco’s HODSTASH edits series. Under his Art of Tones alias, the one-time F Communications stalwart turns in a couple of house-friendly cut-ups of classic tracks. “Unlimited Love”, for example, offers a head-nodding, toe-tapping rework of Love Unlimited Orchestra’s slow dance classic “Love’s Theme”, while “Stepping In & Out” successfully chops and tools up a similarly familiar disco classic. House of Disco regular Harry Wolfman continues the theme on the flip, delivering a banging version of Prince classic “Erotic City”, before closing proceedings with the sweaty P-Funk-goes-tech house chug of “Schoolin”.

Ten Walls’ imprint return with a dancefloor-minded release by Atelier Francesco. The original mix of the title track is a deep, spellbinding work. Stand out remix duties come from the hands of Few Nolder, whose interpretation is heavy on percussion, synth work and a relentless bass line that’s as funky as it is dark.
