Echoes from Agartha is one of the most impossibly beautiful festivals you can imagine. It happens in an ancient land in the heart of Anatolia, Turkey. Sandstone caves and mountains formed over millions of years surround the stages, and warm minimal lighting is projected on to them to make for a dramatic backdrop.
The people are from all over the world and are open minded and friendly, many dressed in wild costumes and jewellery. The sky is either a clear blue and baked in sun or a dramatic burnt orange and red when the sun rises and sets.
Sets from Seth Troxler, Chaim, Who Made Who, Mind Against and many more will all stick long in the memory. Here are some of the majestic tunes they played at this most spiritual and special of festivals.
