Deep House Amsterdam is going across the border! This month will be all about the opening of Deep House London, our British department that will bring you the hottest new music, content and events, much like Deep House Amsterdam, all from the international house Mekka of London.
To kick off this exciting new adventure, we present you with the first exclusive mix for Deep House London by none other than Amine Edge & DANCE! Two guys who are skyrocketing worldwide at the moment, but who have enjoyed an extra special place in the hearts and minds of the British house public since a few years.
Born in 1983 in South of France, Amine Edge discovers House music very early in his life: at 13 he buys his first one vinyl and begins to play in clubs from the age of 16. His first single is released in 2007, from that day several EPs and mixes are following, which gained him the support of many big names such as Solomun, Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox.
Amine Edge is known in France and in the rest of the world as one of the symbolic figures of the relatively new “G House” movement. Basically called “Gangsta House”, the name of this movement comes from the special atmosphere this music just kicks away: here comes another vision of the House music, a stunning combination between funk’s deep basses fused with the in-your-face vocals and characteristics of Hip Hop. For many a match made in heaven.
Together with long-time friend and collaborator DANCE, the duo has quite a number of hugely successful originals and remixes under their belt, and there doesn’t seem to be an end to their stream of club bangers and groovers. For us, Amine Edge & DANCE were a clear choice to have the mixtape premier for the new Deep House London.
