London duo Tough Love have rapidly risen through the ranks of the house scene over the last five years.
Their sound is instantly recognisable in their production and can be described as bass-infused house with plenty of ‘90s R&B and garage references and hard-hitting groove. This distinct production, together with energetic and bass-heavy DJ sets, have created a cult following of hard-core fans across the UK and beyond.
Already notching up two UK Top 40 singles in So Freakin’ Tight & Pony (Jump On It), Tough Love have continued to demonstrate their production and songwriting prowess with a string of big dance records, most recently with ‘Dopamine’, and the massive ‘Hold On’ – a collaboration with two of dance music’s greats in Roger Sanchez and Boy George.
Obviously that’s not all as the boys are also champion remixers for the likes of Chase & Status, Jess Glynne, Craig David, Sigala, Jamiroquai, X Ambassadors and Todd Terry; head up Get Twisted Records, which has gone from strength to strength since 2012; Radio Hosts, and (of course) internationally touring DJs. So with 2017 set to be the biggest yet (keep an eye out for ‘Like A Drug’ next month, the first new single off their debut album “Past Present Future”), let Tough Love kick it off with this exclusive mixtape!
