The new label project from UK’s Josh Butler, ORIGINS RCRDS, kicks off with a three part “Heroes of House” compilation.
Paying tribute to those who have paved the way, Josh Butler teams up with Marshall Jefferson and Santé for two brand new productions on the label’s first edition, with subsequent editions coming from Todd Terry, Darius Syrossian, Kerri Chandler and wAFF.
On the concept, Josh states:
“The Heroes of House Project has been one of the most rewarding projects to work on in my career so far. It’s all about bridging the gap between different generations who love house music. It’s been a huge honour for me to work in the studio with some of the genre’s originators.”
To complement the music, illustrator Davi Comodohas also created Superhero portraits of each artist releasing on the label. These artwork visuals will be completed for each forthcoming volume, bringing the whole project in sync.
