AEONIX is the brain-child of Los Angeles’ Jonnie King and Johnny Reyes.
The duo’s sound is comprised of deep, melodic textures accompanied by lush pads and driving progressions as exemplified on the long-in-the-making “The Medicine Songs” EP, something the duo holds dearly to their hearts. After Jonnie’s encounter with vocalist Brother Edwin in a spiritual gathering, a vision came to him to share Edwin’s icaros in their next composition sparking a new creativity in the duo’s sound.
Today’s exclusive premiere is the original mix of ‘Pachamama Qhalichay,’ which translates to “Earth Mother Healing”. This was the track they opened their first set on the Robot Heart bus at Burning Man and the rest is history.
