Alexis Raphael is part of London’s new breed of international electronic music stars.
Since his first release, ‘Spaceship’, signed in 2011 to Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ Hot Waves imprint, Alexis Raphael has found himself in the international dance music spotlight. At the same time, Creche, the night he started alongside fellow London DJ Cozzy D, became one of the most talked about nights in London, pioneering a new school House revolution with many of the artists that have since joined the international DJ A list.
Alexis has had numerous releases and remixes on labels including Jackathon Jams, Moda Black, Culprit, Leftroom, Get Physical, Nervous, not forgetting his anthem, ‘I Know’, on Hot Creations, with over 1 million Youtube views. Nominated by DJ Mag for best break-through DJ in 2012 and gaining a residency at Manchester’s Warehouse Project that same year, really cemented Alexis’ place in UK underground music.
Today’s exclusive premiere from Alexis Raphael is the original mix to ‘Sexual Chocolate’, a deep and seductive roller combining enticing female spoken vocal with filtered chords and intricate percussion. Returning to Max Chapman’s Resonance Records with two club focused tracks, of which ‘Sexual Chocolate’ is one, Alexis Raphael’s polished production style is on full display.
