One of the most exciting festivals on the agenda this year is undoubtedly Groovefest. It’s a festival that has such a unique location that there is nothing else like it on the planet at the moment. Groovefest takes place in the Dominican Republic, a part of the world that is renowned for being luxurious, hot and sunny and basically what many of us would call paradise. This week the organisers released details of more amazing DJs who’ve been added to their already star-studded line-up.
So, here are the newly-added names to Groovefest’s impressive roster of talent. Our man Skream heads up the list of legends, he’s joined by techno legend Carl Craig, David Squillace, jozif, Alexis Raphael and there’ll D Edge and Warung showcases with the owner of both clubs Renato Ratier. If that’s not enough US house don Terry Hunter, will also be getting on the decks.
Already on the bill are Soul Clap, Slow Hands, Wolf & Lamb, Lee Burridge and No Artificial Colours together with heads like Kenny Dope, Dennis Ferrer and Osunlade.
And just to fill you in on the location itself, well… as the Groovefest organisers themselves say, it’s an “idyllic getaway”. The event will play host to pool and beach parties, open air events together with an array of great food options from local to international restaurants. Needless to say the sunshine will add to the experience. Expect high temperatures all day long, scorchio! All inclusive packages starting at £399!
