Sick Elektrik’s sound has evolved out of a passion for underground, electronic music ranging from Deep House, House, Tech House and Techno. It’s a timeless chugging house groove that’s placed them front and centre in a sound that is dominating the worlds more discerning dance floors.
Last year was a breakout year for the Sick Elektrik, firstly becoming residents at the iconic Ministry Of Sound along with the success of their “That’s Right EP” which gained 7 consecutive weeks of airplay on Radio 1 from Annie Mac and Danny Howard as well being one of the standout tracks from Ibiza that summer, being supported by Steve Lawler, Richy Ahmed, Davide Squillace, Reboot, Amine Edge & DANCE, Wehbba, Paco Osuna, Detlef, Anek, Jay Lumen, Andre Crom, Denney, Miguel Campbell and more.
Their DJ talent embraces the latest tech wizardry and has been honed over many performances that include their residency at Ministry Of Sound plus guest appearances at Creamfields, Beathearder Festival, Parklife, Pacha (London), Motion (Bristol) and Gotha Club (Cannes).
Today, Sick Elektrik takes on Per QX & Paramour‘s club ready “Ready 4 This” with a deeper journey. The duo maintains the heavy synths and bass that made “That’s Right” such a big tune but take the production closer to what George Fitzgerald did on Jon Hopkins “Open Eye Signal”. The end result is the kind of tripped-out 4am E-monster that will would mean A LOT to the “right” people on the dancefloor.
“Ready For This” is available 12 February on Glasgow Underground
