We love a good dance music-related T-shirt here at Deep House London and we don’t mean the cheesy ‘Drugs Saved My Life’ crud you get in Thailand and the like, but the proper stuff with nice designs, connected with reputable labels and artists. Which is why the new line of tees from Strictly Rhythm have caught our attention.

The legendary NYC label celebrates 25 years in the business this year and their new range of t-shirts pays homage to years gone by with unique designs incorporating photos from nineties photojournalist Alice Arnold.

So far there are just two t-shirts, which are the first designs to be released from the new range featuring Alice’s club photography, shot at various venues in New York between 1990 and 1999. The photos that have been used for the first two designs were taken at iconic NYC club Shelter, while further lines to be added to the collection later this year will make use of photos from similarly renowned clubs Zanzibar and The Sound Factory, which as you should know were key venues in the burgeoning years of New York’s house scene.

The t-shirts are available now exclusively via the Defected Store priced at £25, or as part of discounted bundles including Strictly music, merchandise and more. We’ll be sporting ours all year long for sure, and we suggest you pick them up and do the same!

Visit the Defected online store for more details – they’ve also got the man DJ.T to drop a seriously good mixtape!
