Here we are with 2015’s first selection of forthcoming gems, selected by us here at Deep House London. As you can imagine, there is an abudance of new material on the way in January and we’ve got our hands on some of the very best tracks around. Below you’ll find tracks from labels like Hot Creations, Point G, Leftroom and Exploited, among others – all the releases are brilliant and well worth adding to your record collection, so check them out and make sure you grab them!
10. Mineo – Disappear EP | Leftroom ltd. | 19-01-2015 |
Mineo, the undercover name for someone who has been knocking around for a little while, lands on Leftroom after hitting several other major underground labels over the past year or so. This EP demonstrates why he’s been snapped up by so many of the big guns already, ‘Disappear’ bounces and chugs along with great use of vocal samples, ‘Starts With A Kick’ lures you into its Latin groove while ‘Starts With A Beat’ powers along with a sturdy set of percussion and a overpowering b-line.
9. Life On Planets – A Public Affair (Remixes) | Double Standard | 25-01-2015 |
New additions to the Crew Love set up, with Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap and the rest of the gang, Life On Planets are proving to be great acquisitions for the multi-talented team. This remix package from their ‘A Public Affair’ releases on Double Standard features some excellent reworks, including the great remix below, which premiered on Deep House Amsterdam just recently.
8. Vitalik A Retrospective Of One | Vitalik | Out now! |
Vitalik celebrate their 20th release with a neat little package of tracks on this extended V/A. We’re finding it almost impossible to select a firm favourite as they’re all so fresh, but Agnes’ ‘Silence & Snow’ is definitely up there, along with Soulade’s ‘Fora Da Chuva’. A great showcase for the Ibiza-based label.
7. Various Artists – W&O Street Tracks Vol.1 | W&O Street Tracks | 19-01-2015 |
Another label brings the heat with a solid V/A this month, this one comes from the always excellent W&O Street Tracks who gather up music from some of their regular contributors to compile a lovely selection of beats and basslines. Particular standouts include ‘Jaded’ by Citizen, Chamboche with ‘Swatch’ and ‘Marcus Dupree’, by Eliphino, which debuted on Thump recently (listen below). A surefire winner.
6. Ejeca – Mellow Sun | Moda Black | 12-01-2015 |
Ejeca flexes his ability to craft a strong, melodic, wistful piece of house music with this new release on Moda Black (big up Jaymo & Andy George!) – ‘Mellow Sun’ – summer vibes for all the winter crew. Meanwhile, his good friend Citizen flips the scrip with his Late Nite Dub, which takes us into moody techno territory.
5. Juno6 – No Chappi | Freude Am Tanzen | 216-01-2015 |
There’s a warm, live atmosphere that permeates through Juno6’s new release with Freude Am Tanzen. Jazzy notes, piano keys, carefully paced live sounding percussion… and a general laid back feeling make this a great little EP and an essential purchase. And you grab ‘Rnapo Pina’ for FREE using the Soundcloud embed below, result!
4. SEFF – Jack’s Back| Hot Creations| 19-01-2015 |
SEFF dropped us a great mix not too long ago and we’ve been well aware that he is one to watch for quite some now. So here he is with a quality new EP on the infallible Hot Creations – and it’s a stormer. As you might expect, all the Hot Creations gang have been smashing this one for most of 2014 – check the video of Richy Ahmed giving it a spin at Glasto for instance – and now it’s on the streets, so you better grab a copy! Killer.

3. Chris Carrier – Inner Activist EP | Robsoul | 23-01-2015 |
The super-prolific producer from Paris pushes out another pumping releases, this time on his friend Phil Weeks’ trusty Robsoul label. ‘Inner Activist’ is full of funk, great percussion and a that special touch that only Carrier can add to house music. A superb release and further evidence of Carrier’s greatness. Touche!
2. Mickey – You Know The Beat | Exploited | 26-01-2015 |
This irresistable piece of funked up house music comes from one of our favourite artists, Mickey. Always delivering freshness, Exploited team up with him again for another unbeatable release. We love this track and will be playing it all year, ideal for brightening up a dreary winter’s day!
1. Point G – PG#6 | Point G | 26-01-2015 |
Point G is our top choice this month, thanks to his absolutely brilliant extended EP – the sixth release from his self-titled label. The eight-tracker has a selection of raw, deep cuts from the French maestro, all of which are powerful dance floor weapons – ranging from the sombre funk of ‘Kond’ to the organ-led melodrama of ‘Balea’. If you only have enough cash for one purchase this month, then buy this!
