Following releases on Kindisch, Compost Black Label, Get Physical, KingStreet, Exploited and Katermukke, Frankfurt’s brings his debut long player, coming in the form of “Rkadash”.
The word derives from the Turkish “Arkadaş” (pronounced Arkadash) for “friend,” and today we debut the music video for it’s title track. The track, and album as a whole, are a perfect representation of where Rey & Kjavik is right now in terms of sound and approach – slower and more emotional, yet distinctly multicultural. On the track, Rey & Kjavik shows this with a classical house number complete accordion sounds and slightly melancholic tone.
The video was shot on location in Marrakesh, Morocco by Stipe Braun.
