As a member of the infamous CUFF team Shiba San has become synonymous with that rugged, ghetto sound that represents CUFF and its owners Amine Edge & DANCE. Shiba comes from Paris (of course) where hip-hop was a strong influence to begin with, and that sound permeates through into the music he makes now with vocals and rough beats galore. Shiba has lent his talents to labels such as dirtybird, CUFF and he has also remixed Chris Malinchak’s awesome “So Good To Me”.
His track “Okay” on dirtybird is killing it right now, and has been touted by many as one of the anthems of the summer. No doubt you’ll hear it more than once at We Are FSTVL over there on the outskirts of London at Damyn’s Hall Aerodrome. This mix has been recorded especially to celebrate their return, which happens over the weekend of May 24 and 25.
As you will probably know by now, the festival promises to be one of the biggest to hit the south of the UK this summer with an immense and varied line-up that veers from drum’n’bass to deep house and techno. It’s going to be one hell of a party and this mix should get you in the mood.
