Hey Feline Mob, how has your 2024 been so far?

Hey guys! Thanks for having me! At the moment 2024 is promising! The latest releases are going well and the productions are flowing!

Tell us about your journey into electronic music so far and the moments in it?

I started my journey back when I was 15, but the Feline Mob project started May 2023. I just had the feeling I had to showcase this different music of mine in an independent and easy way.

What are your key inspirations and motivations?

The main motivations are the artists and environment I have around me, knowing so many talented producers that don’t get what they deserve and rejections a lot gives me the idea of starting my own thing and to not belong and wait for nobody.

How would you describe your style as a DJ, and how has it evolved over the course of your career?

I actually didn’t expose the Feline Mob as a DJ yet, I keep doing it with my personal artist. Throughout the years I always tried to keep a specific groove and deepness in my sets. Nonetheless I prefer doing warm ups instead of peak times because it allows me to create the climax and vibe in the club, leaving the headliner with all the space and flexibility to elevate the night.

What has been your favourite DJ performance experience, and what made it memorable for you?

The best one yet was at Friedas Buxe, a club in Zurich. It was super memorable because the public, organizers, other djs, we were all in the same dimension. The sound system was crazy and the music I played almost felt was the one everyone was waiting for! I think we all really clicked that night, I will never forget it.

As a dj and a producer, do you find that one role influences the other in your creative process?

Yes definetly, having gigs makes you understand what your productions need in order to be effective on the dance floor and the direction you want to get with your sound. On the other side being a producer makes you understand better what matches better in your sets and the structure of the tracks.

What inspired the new EP on Volumo?

For this EP I wanted to have a more direct sound mixed with some breaks, more linear basslines and not so full of highs and lows tonality, more for the dance floor.

What gear did you use and does that matter to you?

I work basically all in the box, I have a couple of midi gears but the rest is sample based. What matters to me is that you have your own workflow and that works, having gears can let you discover new sounds but at the same time being limited to those, in my opinion.

Who or what is your favourite cat and why?

My cat Tito! Ahah I don’t have any specific breed, I always loved the attitude cats, and felines have. When I see stray cats I always go to them, they have a special energy.

What else have you got coming up?

I just keep doing what I like and making music and releases!

Thanks for the interview 🙂
