As 2025 unfolds, MELODIC (IL) & No Result are already making waves with fresh releases and big plans for the year ahead. With a brand-new EP leading the charge and more music in the pipeline, their journey is gaining serious momentum. In this interview, the duo discusses their creative process, the magic behind their collaboration, and the inspirations that drive their sound. From Ibiza club nights to studio sessions filled with endless experimentation, they break down what makes their partnership click—and what fans can expect next.
How has 2025 been for you so far?
2025 has started off great for us with a lot of new music on the way. This EP is the first of several that are set to be released this year.
When did you guys first hook up and start working together, and what sparked the collaboration?
To be honest, we’ve known each other for quite a while, back during the COVID period. Alon, who is actually Melodic, was a very successful DJ in Israel, and we started DJing and producing music. We met at one of the parties where Alon was DJing, and we clicked pretty quickly. From there, working on music together was just a short step. Today we’re already on our second EP together and we’re sure we’ll release more in the future.
What makes your partnership work so well? Why do you think there’s such a strong creative kinship between you?
What makes our collaboration so good is that we are very open to ideas and are always looking for ways to improve and progress together. Even if it means changing the track completely, just because we thought of a new idea.
How much different do you sound when you’re working solo as opposed to working together in the studio?
There is always a difference. When you work alone, there are no other opinions, and sometimes that can be great. But sometimes, you can get stuck on a track for a long time because you either don’t have an idea or you hit a creative block. When you’re working as a duo in the studio, those blocks are much easier to overcome.
Who did what in the studio for the new tunes on LA-based Reve Music? Do you both have set roles, or do you jump between them?
The truth is, we do everything together. There are no defined roles, and that’s what’s fun about it. Alon can sit for hours on the software, and suddenly it’s me (Ayal) or Yoni, and it’s very dynamic and fun.
What inspired the tracks? Were they written with a particular club, moment of the night, or vibe in mind?
Our inspiration comes mainly from the house world, especially from the clubs in Ibiza, where we spent last summer and got a lot of inspiration. The scene there is insane.
What gear do you use in the studio? Do you have any favorite tools, toys, software, or hardware that really help you bring your ideas to life?
Our equipment is pretty basic, to be honest. We work on production with Ableton. The legendary sound card we use is from RME, and we use a lot of cool plugins that enhance the sounds.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned on your musical journey so far?
The most important lesson we’ve learned is to enjoy the journey. Even when we think we should keep a certain track in the drawer because it’s not quite right or not good enough, it’s still worth releasing it. We’ve come across tracks that surprised us after they were released.
What else do you have coming up this year? Any exciting new releases, collaborations, or projects we should know about?
Right now, we’re working on a new EP that’s supposed to be released in the second half of 2025. We’re also finishing setting up our new studio, which is going to be amazing.
What one record do you wish you had written, and why?
“Opus” by Eric Prydz. It’s an immortal track for me, written in such a precise way. It’s just stuck with me since it was released.
