Fabric closed, and as time goes by new stories are to be and are being made in new places everyday. However the dance music community is continuing to pay the respect to its history and is not giving in. The #savefabric campaign, to raise money and awareness for fighting the club’s closure, continues to travel all over Europe (London, Manchester, Ibiza, Oslo, Glasgow) and now comes to the techno capital of the world – Berlin and it’s new venue The Off.
The 24th of November The Off – a recently opened warehouse space in Berlin Friedrichshain – will host an array of fabric regulars, headed up by Ricardo Villalobos, who’s minimalist star grew right from Berlin. Joined by Ellen Allien and fellow minimalists Mike Shannon, Heartthrob and Sammy Dee and a series of back-to-back sets from Exercise One and Locked Groove, Federico Molinari and Hamid, Shaun Reeves and Cesar Merveille, and also Konrad Black with Mr. Tomorrow.
It’s located on Revaler Strasse, not far from popular venues Suicide Circus and Urban Spree. An this event will not be the first time the venue opens its door, as Magda has already two parties of her new PERM series and one scheduled right after. However new memories are certainly OFF to be created here, but not before first paying respect to the previous ones.
