How do you feel about the early days of the label in hindsight. What would you have done a bit differently?
Overall I think we did a good job during these years. We probably should have released some tracks by now well-known artists which we refused at that time. But it´s better to look forward.

You tend to release nearly all of your music on Paso. Is this a conscious thing?
I made some bad experiences when I released my tracks on other labels. You have no influence on the release date, on the artwork, on the promotion or on anything. When I release my stuff on Paso Music I can decide about everything and I appreciate that.

But I had several releases on other labels like aras, Enough! Music, Bondage or LevelNonZero.

You mentioned your new album. How different would a new album sound, do you think?
It’s a lot more of a personal record, so it’s quite different than the last one. I can’t say too much about it now, but there will be a collaboration with Hard Ton on it.

Do you feel the art of proper DJing is getting lost amongst sync buttons and Ableton technology?
Yes. I think every DJ should know how the mix with records to get a better feeling for mixing at the right time.

What else have you got coming up/are you excited about?
After the remix package of “Let Me Go” there will be a 12” released on Enough! Music with a strong remix by Valentino Kanzyani. Watch out for that!

Marc Miroir’s Let me Go (Remixes) are out now on Paso Music
