Okain grew up in Paris, France and has been immersed in house and techno music since he was a teenager. After spending countless hours listening to DJs like the legendary Laurent Garnier he decided to give it a go himself and bought his first DJing equipment after spending a whole summer making orange juice at a local store (yes, really!).
He’s a enjoyed a whirlwind of success over the last few years with strong singles, EPs and remixes under his artist name and also under various aliases such as Samuel Thalmann, Lezar and Handycraft the collaboration with his childhood mate Paul Ritch. Okain has been a consistent contributor to labels such as Tsuba, BPitch Control, Quartz Rec, vIVA and Upon.You, all of which have helped him become one of the most charted artist on Resident Advisor.
On the touring side of things, Okain’s career is also continuously growing with gigs in Europe, China, Japan, North & South America, Canada and Russia. He played at some of the most respected spots such as fabric (London), Rex Club (Paris), Electric Pickle (Miami), Row14 (Barcelona), Ushuaia Ibiza, Space Ibiza, Sankeys (Ibiza & Manchester) and Watergate (Berlin) to name a few.
He’s not doing too badly then really is he?! This mix is a great one, we wouldn’t have expected anything less.
