After having releases their 2015 debut album too much critical, Pale Blue, the duo of Liz Wight and Mike Simonetti, have come together once again with “You Stopped Dying” via Crosstown Rebels.

Taking influence from shoegaze groups like Slowdive and My Bloody Valentine and moving these sensibilities to the dancefloor, with “You Stopped Dying” Pale Blue has created a strange hybrid that some have called “technogaze”.

With the release out this week, and Valentine’s Day imminent, Mike and Liz have provided 10 tracks that soundtrack heartbreak. What are some of your favorite heartbreaking tracks?

“I chose these songs because they evoke a certain feeling of melancholy associated with loss. I am atraditional person I guess, I like my sad songs slow and somber. All of these artists are huge influences on us musically, although you cannot hear it in the music – you can hear it in the mood and the melodies, especially in Pale Blue”.
