A name rapidly becoming synonymous with the unique fusion of varying artistic influences, British- Brazilian Wax Wings blurs lines in creating a magnificently dark and diverse sound.
Wax Wings is a complete artist, from painting, fashion, graffiti, photography, art direction through to music. He has already acquired impressive remix credentials including Maya Jane Coles’ Nocturnal Sunshine, Nimmo, The Presets, Eli & Fur and GAPS, and has collaborated with artists such as Skunk Anansie’s Skin and Dead Can Dance’s Lisa Gerrard. In London, he also founded the open minded in crowd and music night Dalston Superstore with Coco Cole and Anna Wall.
Here, drawing influence from his latest release – “Gravedance,” Wax Wings provides his choice cute for the latest of nights.
“Using the title track from my recent EP ‘Gravedance’ as a catalyst. I selected tracks for this playlist to share a slice of the weird, wonky and high energy club sounds that fuel my late night DJ sets. Favourite past times include seeing the crowd take a ride on a musical rollercoaster, grabbing a hold and gearing them up with my special formula. Here is a taste of my choice tracks.”
