London based but, like his contemporaries, globally inspired, Joe Hertz’ sound draws on a heady mix of on point drum programming and tension laced melodies that blur genre boundaries with poise and class.
The elusive producer, whose name is popping up in all right places of late, recently posted a new track online entitled ‘Ashes’. The track effortlessly blends and bends through genres with a charm that draws you in. ‘Ashes’ features the vocal talents of London based singer/songwriter Liv and echoes what is fast becoming Joe’s signature style – heavily melodic and consistently classy.
Other recent activity from Joe includes his track ‘Tears’ which was given away as a free download earlier this year with ‘Isolate’ ft. Kaleem Taylor and ‘At Your Touch’ both preceding this.
Stellar remixes include Zak Abel’s ‘Wise Enough’, ‘Take Shelter’ for band of the moment Years & Years and the monster Mo ft. Diplo track ‘XXX88’; Joe’s remix of this amassed over 2 million plays on Majestic Casual alone… and all of which garnered love from tastemaker blogs and specialist radio.
Today, Joe Hertz has provided us with an exclusive mixtape filled with melody, funk and groove.
