It’s a musical love at first sight that happened between Phuong, a Swiss girl of Vietnamese origin and Jen, a young East German woman.
One only swearing by the old school, while the other raised on the spectres of Berlin techno, the ME & her fusion instantly worked. Materialised thanks to their first releases in 2014, their chemistry became a reality through their first EP. Courted by Sankeys on Ibiza, Sisyphos in Berlin, ISF Festival and Gate Clubbing in Italy, Lightbox in London and finally Carpe Diem Beach, the duo’s International notoriety is on the rise.
Nakadia‘s development as a DJ has been as unique as it gets. She bought turntables and started practicing with a very limited amount of music. Over the years she worked her way through various styles and genres, until she found deep house, tech-house and minimal influenced techno. With an open-minded approach to music Nakadia is respected by all who witness her performances, making her into the most booked female tech house DJ in Asia. As increasing crescendo of her totally self-made career, Nakadia pinned around 60 countries to the gig-list so far. She magnetized legendary Watergate Berlin, Cafe D Anvers Antwerp, The Egg London, D Edge Sao Paulo, Lola Shanghai, just to name a few. In February 2015, Nakadia invited legendary Sven Vath to play together in Koh Samui, burning down the beach of her “home island”. In summer 2015, she will be back on the ANTS Stage at Ushuaia Ibiza for the second season, being part of “the ANTS colony” – voted Ibiza’s best event 2014.
Inspired by Berlin life since 2010, Nakadia’s superb productions are stepping up her impressive career even further. Check & Run Technasia Remix stayed within the Beatport Techno Top 40 for seven weeks. Carl Cox pointed out her track Signs of Happiness as a “Global warmer” at his “Ibiza Global” Radio show. The Journey, produced with legendary George Morel and released on Get Physical in February 2015, marked the year as the most prolific so far. And more EP’s are ready to be released on Heinz Music (May 2015), Kittball (July 2015) and other labels, till the end of the year.
Today, we exclusively premiere Nakadia’s remix of ME & her’s “Lost” which also features the vocals of Billie Fountain. This one features a rolling bassline, punctuated by eclectic synth patterns, all wrapped around a smooth, sultry vocal. Definitely one for dark rooms!
“LOST” EP is available 8 June on OFF Recordings
