Details are still somewhat scarce, but a new nightclub will be opening in the Dutch city of Rotterdam on 1 May 2015.
Named Het Transportbedrijf, or “The Transport Company” in English, the venue will open at Schiestraat 18, located just a few doors down from the famed, and now defunct, Rotterdam nightspot Perron in the city’s center. Featuring an impressive list of quality House and Techno nights, the 700 person capacity venue boasts upcoming gigs from the likes of Dixon and Lil Louis, as well as Luke Slater, Len Faki, Derrick May, Prins Thomas, Patrice Baumel, Efdemin and more.
If the clubs cheeky, 1990s throwback website is any indication, Het Transportbedrijf may interject a little humour and lightheartedness into a scene sometimes lacking in both, not to mention the potential in becoming something of a spice up to the cities nightlife landscape.
