On Sunday, 9 July, The Gardens of Babylon, Amsterdam’s go to destination for inclusive, community approached, electronic world music, launches the next chapter of their evolution with the monthly full moon celebration – WILD AS THE MOON.
Leave your real world worries behind and transport to the ancient Americas where the winds whisper and wolves howl for those respective enough to listen. It is said that on the night of the full moon, its lunar energy causes those who embrace it to sleep less, exhibiting a newfound energy for the natural Earth cycles to come. It is with this in mind that WILD AS THE MOON will transform De Martkantine each and every month into an ancient world occupied with Incas, Aztecs, Mayans, Native Americans and any culture, ancient or otherwise, who chooses to guide themselves through the rhythm of Earth.
On this, its first voyage, musical guides come by way of Thugfucker, the eclectic duo born from the New York City underground. Oceanvs Orientalis, a singular sonic entity who challenges the aesthetic perception in electronic music with a take-your-time approach, and Elias Doré, who is a world traveling, multi influenced musician with a deep love for melodic warmth and organic sounds.
Remember, this is a special Sunday evening event, which goes from 10pm – 4am.
